As smart healthcare continues to advance toward cross-system integration and healthcare information interoperability, SMART on FHIR has become a key international standard for next-generation digital health solutions.
In the First Taiwan 50 Outstanding SMART Apps selection program organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare, Huede Healthtech was recognized for its Acura AKI Artificial Intelligence Acute Kidney Injury Prediction Support Software. The company was also invited to participate in the SMART SUMMIT International Forum and Awards Ceremony, showcasing Taiwan’s achievements in AI-driven healthcare technology and clinical applications.
In 2025, Huede Healthtech was also awarded the Digital Service Organization Capability Registration Certificate by the Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs. The certification covers artificial intelligence technology services, AI-assisted diagnostic support, and precision medicine applications, demonstrating official recognition of the company’s technological expertise and system integration capabilities in the fields of clinical AI and digital healthcare services.
Taiwan has long faced the challenge of a high prevalence of kidney disease, with kidney-related medical expenditures consistently ranking among the major costs of the National Health Insurance system. In recent years, the government has actively promoted the management and care of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), leading to growing interest in AI-assisted predictive technologies.
The award-winning Acura AKI is an AI-based medical software solution designed for intensive care units (ICUs). By analyzing clinical data, it provides decision support for healthcare professionals, helping them identify the risk of acute kidney injury at an early stage. The software has also obtained a Class II Medical Device License from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
In addition to Acura AKI, Huede Healthtech has actively expanded its portfolio with products such as the Advanced Patient Tracking System (APTS), an AI Critical Care Application Platform, and an AI Hand Hygiene Recognition System, continuing to promote smart healthcare and the integration of medical information systems.
Lee Hui-Ling, General Manager of Huede Healthtech, stated that the future of smart healthcare lies not only in the development of AI models but also in their successful integration into clinical workflows and care environments. The company will continue to empower healthcare professionals through innovative technologies, build AI service platforms aligned with international standards, and advance toward its goal of becoming a leading innovation partner in critical and acute care intelligence.
